There was something immodest about her modesty: it announced itself.

Chimamandangozi Adichie, “Ceiling” (via thelifeguardlibrarian)

You can’t be modest by telling everyone you meet what you did or who you are. You need some form of immodesty; and it’s usually called “advertising”.

This project is experimental and of course comes without any warranty whatsoever. However, it could start a revolution in information access.
Tim Berners-Lee on the birth of the WWW, a great example of vision, knowledge and stones mixed together lucked out by timing (which I’m sure he didn’t see coming when he started this).

The evolving ideas list.

This post contains newer and newest ideas from company names, to tag lines, to complete campaign game books - from atl to btl to wtf (hey! now you understand what my tumblr is all about, because new, untested idea, uncharted waters gets the “wtf is this?!” response). Because new doesn’t mean that it’s bad, and bad doesn’t mean that it’s not a jumping point to a game changer. Read on. We both could learn something different today. Ideas below can be used by for channel or trade marketing, atl or btl.

1) Headline for Zynga (also works for KY Jelly or Durex’s gel), targeting new users and reminding existing users to get on the Zynga network and forget their daily worries:

“Give yourself a hand.”

“The quickest, easiest way to happiness in 5 minutes, or less.”

“Deeeeeeeepppppeerrrrr thoughts.”

2) Headline for introducing the new BMW M5 2012, highlighting its benefits in simplest terms:

“0-Joyyyyyyy in 3.7 seconds.”

3) This could be any insurance or plastic wrapper company.

“Every painting comes with dust.”

“Did you insure your car? Yes? Have you insured you?”

4) An new, anonymous bread company looking to have a slice of Gardenia’s bread business.

4.1) The brand is called “Bread & Butter”,

4.2) Each loaf is paired with three low fat butter samplers such as Lurpak which does not have a deep, visible footing in our market (product feature to diversify the company’s revenue: bread makers now can be advertising agents too, brought to you by the thinking “if you can’t fight ‘em, join ‘em”).

4.3) Another product feature is unsliced bread. No, buns don’t cut it. Why didn’t they think of this?

“For the bread winner and his growing family”

Tagline: “Sincerely, from another bread winner.”

5) For a smart school equipped for highly skilled students (not limited to gifted ones only).

“Get the benefits of thinking outside the box.”

“Here a fish could learn to climb a tree.”

6) A plan for “Social media manager” for local colleges wanting to be known online, with some help from Google.

“Are you a Social Media Manager? Learn Google Alerts.”

This post is a perpetual work-in-progress.

So, resume?

Resume, CV or portfolio.

If I keep one, I’d send it to you, pre-ask.

But if keeping a portfolio means keeping track of what I did yesterday to show what I know and how “engaging” my work was, then I don’t need one.

But here’s a list of previous clients I worked for:

Petronas MITCO Japan, NIKE, Nike Football, Nike Running, Citibank, Proton Vendors Association, International Green Exhibition for KeTTHA, a few others.

Still reading? Good. Let’s talk.

Engagement.

Friction. Friction is what causes traction. Which in turn causes two people to be engaged because at least one party in the relationship thinks the other is engaging.

And engagement is pre-marital sex. Try it, before you it.

You then support it with a marriage so that you could have sex all the time.

And marriage is brand loyalty.

e.g. I’m married to Apple.

The act of you reading this is you being engaged by this pot, I mean post.

About

A random beached male's thoughts on life on the ATL, BTL and the WTF where English is randomly broken here; also, watch out for ineffective self-ctrl (but I think this is a great start) and curation reveals contradicting, revelations. For truth and meatballs; uncorrected proof and not for sale cheaply.
